Tyler R. Petree
DO, RPVI
Dr. Tyler R. Petree, DO, RPVI, is a vascular and endovascular surgeon at Texas Vascular Associates (TVA), where he specializes in the comprehensive management of arterial and venous disease using both open and minimally invasive techniques. He brings a strong foundation in biochemistry to his clinical practice, supporting a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to patient care.
Dr. Petree completed his Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Prisma Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine, following completion of his General Surgery Residency at the Detroit Medical Center/Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, cum laude, from the University of Arkansas.
His academic and research interests include acute limb ischemia, dialysis access, and vascular outcomes, with multiple research projects and publications spanning both clinical and translational topics. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Petree enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dogs, working on cars, and reading about ancient history.
